  • “Take a right turn at the corner.” (instruction)

The Use of “Let’s”

“Let’s” is a contraction of “let us,” which is used to make suggestions or offer invitations for a group that includes the speaker and the listener(s).

Structure: Let’s + Verb (base form)

Examples:

  • “Let’s go to the movies.” (suggestion)
  • “Let’s not argue.” (suggestion for not doing something)
