  2. Formation:
    • Possessive adjectives are formed from personal pronouns, modifying nouns to show possession.
    • The possessive adjectives in English are: my, your, his, her, its, our, and their.
  3. Usage:
    • My: Indicates possession by the speaker.
      • Example: This is my book.
    • Your: Indicates possession by the person being addressed.
      • Example: Is this your pencil?
    • His: Indicates possession by a male person or thing.
      • Example: That is his car.
    • Her: Indicates possession by a female person or thing.
      • Example: This is her house.
    • Its: Indicates possession by an animal, inanimate object, or concept.
      • Example: The cat licked its paw.
    • Our: Indicates possession by a group of people, including the speaker.
      • Example: Our school is big.
    • Your (plural): Indicates possession by a group of people being addressed.

    • Their: Indicates possession by a group of people or things.

  4. Placement:

  7. Contractions:
