How to write an acrostic poem?

1. Think of a word for a person place, thing or idea.

2. Put each letter on its own line.

3. Think of words about what the poem is about that start with each letter.

4. Put the words on the lines of the letters.

Here’s another example. Let’s do the Word “read”!

R is for real

E is for exciting

A is for adventure

D is for dream

There are lots of different ways to write acrostic poems. Sometimes you put a single Word, sometimes you put a sentence sometimes you put a phrase.
